I submitted keenforms.com to a directory I found recently, called Cloudfindr.co – I don’t recall how I found it, I must have stumbled across it while surfing the web.
It wasn’t too bad of a submittal process, but I was surprised when I got an email a couple of days later asking for a $300 fee for a lifetime listing. If I had an affiliate project the fee would be $200.
I was even more surprised when I noticed that the email was thanking me for submitting Eurporic.ai, not Keenforms.com. So I decided to follow up with an email asking what their traffic was and how they could justify charging $300.
Next surprise the return email address generated an error “Undelivered mail returned to sender”. There’s a good chance that Cloudfindr.co is a scam. I don’t know if anyone has actually handed over money to be listed but it does appear there are quite a few people starting pay to list directories. LPZ would advice against paying to appear on any directory.
